William Thomas Horton was born at Brierley Hill in Staffordshire,  he married Lucinda Whittaker at the Parish Church, Quarry Bank, Staffordshire, on the 11th September 1898.
By 1900 they were living at 15, Edwards Terrace, Pentwyn, Glamorgan, South Wales.
William went to work at the Deep Navigation Coal Mine at Treharris, Glamorgan as a collier.
He had 8 children, all born in Wales. (see photo)

William Thomas Horton died in 1942, at Tydvil Lodge, Merthyr Tydvil, South Wales
and was buried at Beachgrove Cemetery,
Edwardsville, Nr. Treharris, South Wales.
